Colin Kaepernick and Julius Caesar The corruption of power is the same as the corruption of money. Authority and money both get to your head and change the person that you are. Colin Kaepernick and Julius Caesar are somewhat the same Julius Caesar let power get to his head and had him switch his state of mind. As for Colin Kaepernick at the beginning of his career he was the top player every team wanted him, but as of the 2016 season, he is getting paid about $11.9 million, as he as well as Caesar let it get to his head. Julius and Colin showed too much pride in themselves; just like in Julius Caesar they both had a group that turned their backs on them. Julius Caesar at the beginning of the play Caesar is thoughtful and would take considerations. In the middle of the act before Brutus and the Conspirators decide to kill him. Julius Caesar's pride shows when he gives his speech to the people of Rome, Brutus, and the Conspiracy. He reveals that his decision of Cimber will not change that nothing they do or say will change his mind, "he is as constant as the Nothern Star" (3. 1. 60) Caesar's pride gets ahead of him when he compares himself to the Northern Star to show his pride.
