Theodor Geisel AKA Dr. Seuss was born on March 2nd, 1904 in Springfield, Massachusetts and died on September 24th, 1991 at La Jolla, California. At the age 18 he went to Dartmouth College. After graduating Dartmouth Dr. Seuss attended Oxford University but later dropped out. He had a mom named Henrietta and a dad named Theodore and two sisters named Marie and Henrietta. Seuss which I later learned was because the people that were publishing his books caught him drinking so they shut him down so he decided to stop drinking and change his name so he changed his name to Dr. Seuss because his mother’s maiden name was Seuss and so was his middle name, than his father always wanted him to be a doctor so in some ways he was. Many of his books have been turned into television show or movies and for some even both like the Lorax has been turned into many many different movies like what happened after the book than the television show the cat in the hat knows a lot about that where two kids go on adventures with the cat in the hat and a talking fish. These movies have been a big hit. He even has Cat in the Hat movies with real actors instead of his traditional cartoons. He is very known for all of his furry drawings almost all of his make believe creatures in his books have hair which if you really think about it that would be pretty difficult to draw all of those creatures so for more than 60 kids books with about 100s of furry friends I’ll give you a clap and half sir great job. Some of Dr. seuss’s fun facts are, his net worth is seventy five million dollars with that you can let it rain awhile, as a boy he read lots and lots of comics, also we he was a boy he loved to play at the forest park zoo, Dr. Seuss married two times
