A leader is a person who leads or commands a group, organization, or country. In The Tragedy Of Macbeth Shakespeare imagines the qualities of a good leader to be honorable, trustworthy, reliable, beloved by the people, and strong-willed. Ducan and Malcolmb portray these qualities however Macbeth is lacking in the qualities to be a good leader and as a result, he is unsuccessful. Duncan and Malcolm in Macbeth by William Shakespeare show that the best leaders are selfless, honorable, trustworthy, reliable, beloved by the people, and strong-willed. Macbeth on the other hand not at all. Ducan is the best king Scotland sees throughout the play. He best displays the qualities of a good leader based on the qualities that Shakespeare believed were good qualities of a leader. We can infer that Malcolm would be a good king because he is like his father in many ways. He is a loyal trustworthy person this is shown when he performs the loyalty test.
