What is love?
What is love? Many people say that they have “loved” or been “loved” before, however do they even know what love is and if it changes us? Many people may not know. Love is confusing, because it can change us as people, impact our lives, as well as our emotions. Love has a way of changing people. When people fall in love they can feel so devoted to the other person that they completely change for them. For example, in “The Excerpts from Romeo and Juliet” when Romeo states “I take thee at thy word. Call me but love, and I’ll be new baptiz’d; Henceforth I never will be Romeo” This shows that Romeo is willing to change his name and remove himself from his family so that him and Juliet can get married. Based on this evidence, I can infer that people will go to extreme measures to change themselves for what they love. …show more content…

Love is not always perfect. For example, in the poem “What Love isn’t” its states, “It is solid. Not sweet but always nutritious.” This shows that love can have its ups and its downs, but it is always good to have love in our lives. Another example is also in the poem “What Love isn’t”. It states “it is weight and it is too heavy to feel good sometimes. It is discomfort-it is not what the films say. Only songs get it right.” This is showing that in movies they show love as always being perfect, however songs talk about truth and the bad things that happen.
