They did not take the time to get to know each other or share the wedding with their friends and family. Even though Romeo earlier the day they met was “in love” with Rosaline and wanted to marry her, and Romeo was very depressed when she did not want to marry him, but he met Juliet and was “in love” with her and married her. So Romeo and Juliet are strangers and dont know each other enough to love each other.
