Many people know the ancient stories, of brave warriors who tore apart entire civilizations almost alone.There are plenty more legends that many people in this era have not heard before. There is one specific story that involves an ancient artifact that was recently rediscovered by an excavation crew. Not too many people know this legend because many people during the time did not believe what happened could have been possible because this legendary person was a woman. In ancient Greece a baby was born, the baby was named Aurora . While Aurora was growing up, she did not fit in. Women weren't warriors at the time, and they had very few rights. Instead of learning how to be a woman Aurora spent most of her time wrestling, boys and learning all the knowledge she could. By age 16 Aurora could take down the strongest boys she knew, she had also learned as much as she could. She was strong, agile, wise and intelligent. When Aurora turned 20 war broke out between Sparta and Athens, Aurora’s father left to go to battle. During the attacks on Sparta’s coast Aurora’s father was killed by a Spartan soldier. After weeks of no contact with her father, a messenger came with news that her father had been killed in battle. Enraged, Aurora stole a blade and a shield from the cities armory and she set off to avenge her father. …show more content…
