Do you know someone who drinks? Do you know if they drink and drive? Haveyou ever heard them say that it 's only one beer and they are fine to drive home? Theyare so very wrong. It only takes alcohol about 20 to 40 minutes to reach your brain.When someone drinks, their judgement if the first thing to be affected by the alcohol. In the video "Life Affected (MADD)," Michelle lost her husband due to a drunk driver. They were driving on the freeway, and a drunk driver decided to get on the freeway as well.She had been to a couple of bars before getting into the car, but when she got on the freeway, she got on the off ramp. The drunk 's family would have to deal with whatever punishment was chosen. In this same video, a family was on their way to a play when they were hit by a drunk driver. The young parents had two children: a 2 and a half year old and a 4 month old. The mom of the children called her dad and said that her two children were being lifeflighted and she had to go to a different hospital. The 4 month old baby died at the hospital after the parents decided to take him off of life support. This affected the whole family. This little boy lost his baby brother, and the parents lost their baby child.To imagine making the decision to take your baby off of life support, knowing that he will not make it, and none of it was your fault.In conclusion, driving drunk does not just affect the driver that chose to drivedrunk. It affects the people they hit and sometimes kill. These people are innocent and didn 't chose to serve the consequences of the drunk. The drunk has to live with knowingthat they made a stupid decision and killed innocent people. Driving while drunk just isn 't worth it.
