Throughout my life I have been taught the standards of proper clothing material. In america many of the rules for example my high schools dress code, require that for men our shoulders must be covered completely. Furthermore, we are forbidden to wear shorts that do not drop past mid thigh. This counters with the dressing norms and rules of the Yanomamo. They are allowed and it is their ways to wear decorative clothing that is less protective than most. Much of their body is showing while doing this. Another rule that I must follow that this culture doesn't follow is in America if you worked three hours a week you would never earn a living. In the Yanomamo culture it is said that working three hours a day to earn a living in the culture
