What if there were no social classes and everyone is equal? What if we had unlimited free trade between nations? What if the famous people that we idolized today were all part of a certain political party? All of these ideas, plus many more, are the ideas presented in the Communist Party USA, and the Communist party in general. The Communist Party of America, or CPUSA, was founded in 1919 by C. E. Ruthenberg. Today the CPUSA leader is John Bachtell. Bachtell became chairman of the party on June 15, 2014 with a membership of around two thousand people. The reason that the communist party was formed was to solve certain problems with equality. This equality pertains to jobs, social classes, and government in general. When you really look at it, it is kind of like a pure direct democracy. What this means is that everyone would have a say in what happens. The CPUSA did not break off of any other political party and it’s not based off of religious beliefs. The main focus of this party is to bring equality to all. What this basically means is that everyone gets the same benefits and everyone is on the same social level. The problem is that not everyone wants to be equal, but some people will be excited to be equal.
