Ben Samuels and Phil Jones had two different leadership traits and behaviors. Ben Samuels displayed interpersonal skills, cooperativeness, fair-minded, honesty and integrity, while Phil had intelligence, self-confidence and drive. Their behaviors were also different. For instance, Ben was more people oriented, but lacked the ability to supervise employees, had not set objectives and standards for the plant, which in turn caused his plant to have the second worse cost and production level. Phil used a task oriented behavior, by establishing close supervision of employees, not demonstrating care and eliminating work activities.
