People have different ideas when it comes to zombies, whether they are fast, slow, dumb, or smart. Besides having both creatures from each story go by the name of ‘zombie’, the two stories, The White Rabbit Chronicles (WRC) and The Walking Dead (TWD) are completely different in showing the people and creature in a zombie apocalypse. The story TWD is about flesh eating zombies. These zombies are merely decaying meat suits of the people they once were, no longer a friend, sibling, or parent; only a mindless creature that wanders the earth looking for living prey for it to feast upon. Now, unlike TWD within the world of WRC zombies are conniving spirits, transparent and grotesque, that eat the souls of humans. The zombies in WRC are human souls trapped in a creature that was transferred to them from another infected soul. The characters in WRC are ones for working together to survive, always trying to protect the ones they love no matter of the danger that comes with doing so. However, when it comes to the people of TWD they only work together until there is no benefit in doing so. Once the situation gets a little dangerous they cut and run, leaving their ‘friends’ behind to defend and survive by themselves. Not to mention, when it comes to other people the characters in TWD don’t trust people and if someone happens to do something they don’t like or understand the will kill that person, not reflecting on whether they were actually bad and not worth a smidgen of forgiveness. Contrary to TWD, WRC may act cautious of newcomers, but the don’t judge the person until they fully understand the person and what is happening and when someone does wrong on them they try to forgive the person, but they never forget. The characters of WRC are merciful, understanding, and
