Kidwatching is an interesting and helpful strategy for me to understand my focus students’ literacy behavior. This observation strategy is an ideal way for me to get to know my students’ literacy tendencies and interests. There are many students who do not feel comfortable with their reading and writing skills, which causes the students to lack interest in all literature. After watching and interviewing my focus students, I learned that not all students like to read and write. Additionally, I learned that I must always be flexible in the classroom because things may not go as planned and I may have to quickly adjust.

As a person who has grown up watching tv, playing video games, and also enjoying the outdoors i can understand both sides of this arguement. However, i agree more with the second passage in the sense that screen time isnt the main cause of the issues these people have. Now-a-days everyone is linked into some type of technology whether it be a smartphone, laptop, or videogame. In addition, as a person who excels better with a visual or physical example rather than reading text from a book, I see technology as a way to better learn new things. Screen time isn't the issue, I feel it's more how you choose to use it.

Well the American Academy of Pediatrics or the AAP has done studies and had shown that there should be a limit on screen time and the limit should be two hours on electronics a day at max. After reading and examining their sources on screen time you can very easily identify that children are starting to use electronics a lot more than they should for non-educational purposes. This can lead to many bad things in the child's future so the American Academy of Pediatrics decided to step in and suggest that all kids and teens should have a two hour screen limit. This can be very beneficial for children and teens in a variety of ways but, just to show that the AAP's suggestion of having a two hour screen limit is beneficial is that one, children are beginning to lack in the ability to be able to read emotions on people's faces.
