There are no two words in the sports dictionary that make me cringe more than “franchise tag”. So, when Denver Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller posted on his Instagram Thursday that there is “No Chance” he’d play under the franchise tag next season, I was filled with smug satisfaction — and reminded how ridiculous the concept of the franchise tag really is. To an outsider, myself included, Miller’s rejection of the Broncos’ offer was baffling, at first. A six-year, $114.5 million contract (reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter) would have me whipping out my pen and asking where to sign.
Samuel Adams held such an important part in gaining independence for America, but he was the most underappreciated. Many people seem to overlook Adams because he didn't leave many primary sources behind like a journal, notes, or letters etc.. Adams studied journalism at Harvard, and went on to pursue this by defending colonists against royal authorities who overstepped their boundaries. Then from 1764, when the Stamp act arose, he had one main focus- to fight for American Independence. In the 1760’s and 1770’s Adams fought against the British for the American colonists.
Jonathan Edwards version of God was very aggressive and unforgiving. Insult after continuing insult, this does not seem like the Jesus Christ with the wonderful forgiving spirit. With the words, “God hates you,” repeated multiple times throughout the sermon, it is truly hypocritical that the God described as forgiving and loving of all would say “I hate you,” every five minutes. I personally feel like this is not the way God would like to be described, and that God would much rather liked to be showed as a forging and gentle spirit.
In the article titled “I Won’t Hire People Who Use Poor Grammar. Here’s Why,” published by Harvard Business Review on July 20, 2012, Kyle Weins claims as a business owner of two companies largely reliant on writing that good writers are more intelligent, are better at doing things completely unrelated to writing, and pay more attention to detail. Wein’s overall goal of the article is to show the connection between employees with good grammar and good work ethic. Wein’s is backing up his zero tolerance approach to bad grammar by showing these correlations. Potential employees may have prompted him to write the article because they felt his grammar test was unfair.
In his argument for the establishment of a public school system, Benjamin Rush does not waste any time addressing the obvious issue of taxpayer burden. While acknowledging this would warrant an initial investment, he insists that by establishing a system of public education in America would overtime cut taxes, and taxpayers would see a return on their initial investment [JEH1] [Rush, pg.678]. Rush maintains a position that as we acknowledge the benefits of learning spoken languages of the world, our youth would benefit as much learning the languages of finance and markets. To properly defend our liberties against the throes of tyranny, we must be aware of defending ourselves from economic tyranny. He establishes the potential merits of educating the youth in the matters of economics, arguing it provides “the best security

This is the quotation about Socrates explaining Glaucon and Adeimantus’ argument about what justice is. They believe that no one wants to be just as long as there are some rewards in return. However, when people unjustly act as much as they want, it only creates chaos that makes everyone suffer from other people’s unjust acts because doing unjust acts and suffering from unjust acts do not balance each other. In fact, doing unjust acts is worth much than suffering from unjust acts. Thus, people need to make contracts or agreements to balance its gap, and people obtain rewards from being just.
Abigail Adams was extremely influential to the nation’s beginnings due to her drive to push certain decisions and debates through the status of her husband. Flowers for Algernon Argumentative essay Intelligence is a valued aspect to many people, but it can be achieved in options that aren’t labeled “intelligence-altering surgery”. The doctors, Dr.Nemur and Dr. Strauss do not follow the ethics of fieldwork. They chose the wrong person, Charlie Gordon, to do the surgery on, and didn’t wait to find out that the side-effects include death. In Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes, the doctors made a bad choice by choosing Charlie Gordon for the intelligence-altering surgery.

Proper Grammar On dating sites, spelling, punctuation are judges; ‘Are you kidding?’, Georgia Wells believes that grammar is a very important element in selecting a person to date and hopefully pursue a relationship with. Grammar is an important factor in choosing a potential date. This is due to being an indicator of a person’s educational and economic background and also can reveal how serious a person is about dating. If people do not begin implementing proper grammar regularly when trying to find a date, many will end up alone which will possibly impede the continuation of the human race in the future.
In this paper, I will deliver a reconstruction of Descartes’ Cogito Argument and my reasoning to validate it as indubitable. I will do so by justifying my interpretations through valid arguments and claim, by showcasing examples with reasoning. Rene Descartes is a French Philosopher of the 17th century, who formulated the philosophical Cogito argument by the name of ‘cogito ergo sum,’ also known as “I think, therefore, I am.” Rene was a skeptic philosopher amongst many scholastic philosophers at his time. He took a skeptical approach towards the relations between thoughts and existence, to interpret his cogito argument as indubitable and whether it could serve as a foundational belief.
Swifts argument is better. Swift honestly had a better argument even though he was joking, it made more of an connection with me. The fact, eating and breeding humans would stop overpopulation, famine, and the poor not having any work opportunities. But Hardin’s argument was just harsh, I didn't really like how he talked about people he had a very negative perspective on other people such as immigrants.
I have learned so much through research, my peers, my class, and through my own personal experience how grammar can be best taught in the classroom. Every student needs to be given a positive learning experience on grammar. Grammar will carry into every aspect of their lives. It is important to me as a teacher to build my students foundation to have a good knowledge of grammar. I hope that I can be the teacher that my students look back on and remember how fun it was to learn in my classroom.
