In the short stories Yeh-Shen by Ai-Ling Louie and Cinderella by Madeleine Francis, there are many similarities and differences in these two fairytales. Some similarities are that both have very similar characters and settings, but there are many differences as well such as Yeh-Shen has one stepsister and Cinderella has two; and Yeh-Shen has a friend who's a fish, while Cinderella hangs out with the birds and mice. Although they are both fairytales they also have many other similarities.
