Aesop created many fables during his life. One of which, The Milkmaid and her Pail, has a very important moral; to not “put all your eggs in one basket.” Many fables, specifically The Milkmaid and her Pail, help individuals learn life lessons through symbolism. The lesson learned in The Milkmaid and her Pail has a very important moral, that I believe can be used in many aspects of life. For example, I apply this moral whenever I’m planning my schoolwork for the week. Most of the time, I try to plan how much school I will need to do each week in order to stay caught up. However, most of the time, my initial plan doesn’t always go the way I was expecting. This is why I always spread my school over several days. That way, if I happen to miss a day or two, I have additional time to fall back on. This is why I often plan on doing schoolwork over the weekend, so that regardless of whether I completed my school for the week or not, I have an extra day or two that I can use to catch up or get ahead. I do not know for certain what my future holds, so it’s important that I broaden my horizons, especially when it comes to skills that could be used for a career. I have no idea, as of right now, what I want to do when I’m older. So it’s important now more than ever that I expand my interests on as many different things as I can, so when it truly becomes time for me to pick a career plan, I won’t be narrowed down to a single topic. There are many individuals who out all their time in effort into one thing, like sports or acting, and then when that certain plan doesn’t work out, they have nothing else to fall back on. This is why I think it’s important to really reach out and learn a little bit of everything, so you have many different things to pick and
