Public Health Nursing (PHN) standards of practice are several expectations and guidelines that define and shape the professional responsibilities and competencies of public health nurses by ensuring that PHNs deliver professional, high-quality, and evidence-based care that is motivated by improving the health and well-being of populations, families, and individuals (American Nurses Association [ANA], 2022).
