When people think about genocide negative thoughts are what usually come to their head. Genocide is basically when one group starts killing a certain group of people or causing serious harm physically and mentally towards them. It is sad to see or hear about this kind of thing happening but there is not much you can do when it is happening across the world so it makes it even worse. If people think about the damage they will cause when committing these acts before doing them this would not be occurring. The problem with people is that they fail to understand another race or group just because they believe in different things or see things differently. The Bosnian genocide took place in Europe in the Turkish area and it lasted about three years. The Rwanda genocide was in Africa and lasted only 100 hundred days. The beginning of the genocides from each country started when both their leaders died because after this they lost control over the people in their country. Bosnia split because of problems with their territory and Rwandan people were terrified of the militia groups in the country.
The difference about the two genocides is that in Rwanda the killings started right after their leader died but in Bosnia the killings started a decade after their leader passed away. Also in both genocides people were killed in the day and the night in large quantities. One difference about the methods used by each country was that in Bosnia concentration camps were used against anyone who was not a Serb. In Rwanda they wasted no time because they would kill their victims immediately on sight. Those were some differences about how each country’s version of genocide but both were
