Suicide is a virus. it's a virus that continues spreading and it affects everyone, not just the person who got sick. it affects the family and affects the community it affects everyone personally involved with the person who killed themselves. For example, if there was a group of friends and one of the said friends killed themselves the whole group would feel the lasting impact of their death whether it be emotional physical, or mental to the point where maybe that was the last straw for one of the other friends and it leads them to kill themselves, therefore, affecting the whole group once again.

Physican-assisted suicide is defined as a voluntary termination of one 's own life by administration of a lethal substance with direct or indirect assistance of a physican. (Webster Dictionary, 2011). This topic has been a very controversial subject among so many people from different types of states and countries. The fact that, some physican are agaisnt this and some are fore it can lead to a very huge debet on whether or not to legalize this act. For one moment, imgine that you are in the hospital bed, and you have been getting treated for years now and the doctor just tells you that you have no more hope and starting now, you will be going down hill with serve pain that not even medication will help relive this pain.
There are those lucky people who don 't have to go through or think about this. People don 't understand a value of a life when someone takes there own life. There is 1 suicide to every 25 suicide attempts. That makes up 79% of all suicides.
Keiski acknowledges that, “Individual therapy with a psychologist or psychiatrist is probably the most common form of treatment for people suffering from any sort of depression or need help through a crisis.” (95). In most cases, suicide is a result of how lonely the victim may feel since they may not fully receive the love and care they deserve. Hence, it is important that professional caretakers reach out to them since they may feel too embarrassed of their negative thoughts. Directly connecting to this idea, most times family members and friends are not too sure about how to address this with the victim since they do not really know how to help.
The last argument that this paper will look at is the argument of double effect. In the context of terminal illness physician assisted suicide could instead be seen as a vital form of care for someone who is suffering, instead of the failure of medicine. Physician assisted suicide seems to oppose the pro-life view, but on closer examination, its purpose is instead to relieve suffering in imminently terminal cases where it is thought that no other treatment could reasonably hope to do the same. Even though traditionally the role of the doctor is seen as extending life, that role may also encompass the assistance in PAS.

Islam prohibits suicide, yet glorifies those who die as martyrs for the faith.
In addition to parental guidance, traumatic events serves as another cause of suicide. Teens who have gone through traumatic experiences are prone to idea of ending their lives do to the anxiety and stress they feel when remembering the traumatizing experiences they’ve had. Traumatic events are caused by different cases. Domestic violence is an example wherein teenagers are abused (physically, psychologically, or emotionally). Domestic violence happens at home and is done by a relative onto the child.
In comparison to virtue, utilitarianism presumes the idea of acts that could be beneficial to the society or to one’s self. According to Stanford’s Suicide article, there have been discussions that stated suicide is naturally harmful to society, addressing the conflicts if suicide were to occur. Losing a loved one is very difficult to handle throughout your life. Have you ever felt like giving up on life as well because your other behalf or your loved one passed away due to suicide and not being able to see them again until the afterlife? Suicide is the act of ending your own death at your own hand to escape the pain or suffering from the world. It should be meant to enjoy life like everyone else and not taking your own life just by the opinion of others or by the disaster of the world or by any body failure you might be experiencing. Accordingly, to the organization of the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention, suicide becomes the 10th leading cause of death in the U.S.
During the years of university, students are overloaded with assignments, projects, presentations, quizzes and exams. These works and exams can create a lot of stress and pressures for university students who are expected to perform excellently in classes. Suicide is the tragic result students choose after facing these incidents. According to Emory Cares 4 U, “Suicide is the second-leading cause of death among people aged 25 to 34 and the third-leading cause of death among people aged 15 to 24” (Emory University, 2016). The causes of suicide in university students are academic and social pressure, inadequate coping skills with university works and feeling of failure or decreased performance.
Over the years the issue of suicide has been slowly increasing. It is now the third leading cause of death among young people. The effects of suicide are tragic and felt long after the individual has taken their own life. Some people who consider suicide, however, never make a “serious” attempt at it. For every attempted suicide, there is said to be more than one person whose thought of suicide has never translated into an actual attempt.
