Both novel The Chrysalids by John Wyndham and the film "X-Men: First Class" by Matthew Vaughn tell a thrilling and interesting story about mutants and people with supernatural powers. The Chrysalids revolves around a city named Waknuk in Labrador, many years in the future after God sent tribulation which vaguely represents nuclear destruction. Many people started to show abnormalities like an extra toe or extra long limbs, including the animals and plants. To the people of Waknuk, anything that isn't identical to the True Image Of Man is considered a blasphemy and is banished. The story follows a young boy named David Strorm with telepathic powers and the book follows him through his struggles.

When all of a sudden Peter goes to work the next day to find out no one was working in the office, so his boss comes up to him and had told him he has been accused of communist activities. He does not deny it, because it turns out he had joined some type of organization back in his college years to impress a girl whom he had thought he was in love with. Peter really valued his life and his career very much, you could tell just by his actions throughout the film. One night he went for a drive and he had swerved off the road and had crashed to wake up with he had no recognition of who he was. Long story short an elder man found him on the beach mistaking him as his son Luke who had originally died at war and never returned home until now he had thought.
In Orson Scott Card 's "Ender 's Game", Card utilizes Peter as a foil character for Ender whom the teachers manipulate into violent actions; thus, although Ender destroys the enemy, his empathy allows him to understand the buggers and achieve peace, which supports his evolution into an exceptional
In the beginning of the book, he is portrayed as a villainous manipulator who bullies Ender on his quest for power and control. Later in the book, though, the reader comes to comprehend his motivations and recognizes that he possesses the capacity for both good and evil. Peter's intelligence and ability to think strategically are two of his best attributes. The novel's protagonist, Ender, acknowledges Peter's abilities in this area, saying, "Peter was smart, and he was already planning ahead" (Card chapter 5). This is a great trait for him especially since he interacted in a political environment where war was also a common
Peter was really mean to Ender and like to hurt him from this quote “Ender looked at Peter only to detect anger or boredom, the dangerous moods that lead to pain.” Now this quote is an important component that proves Peter was too violent to get in to battle school. Another reasoning for Peter not getting in to battle school is that he does not have feelings for other human beings, as this quote proves it, “ Slimy, huh? Well, bugger-wugger, let’s see how to break that face of yours.” This quote is another reason that just proves Peter is too brutal and aggressive to join battle school.
The new Marvel Movie, Black Panther, just hit the market and everyone is raving about it already. This movie hero from modern times shares the same qualities as a hero from ancient Greece; the stories of heroes use the same concepts, just with different names and settings. For example, Odysseus from Homer’s epic poem the Odyssey, shares multiple characteristics with the Black Panther. The major difference between the two is that Odysseus is struggling to go back home while Black Panther is struggling to save his home, but both concern the battle against injustice.
D) Spider man 's cruelty anxiousness to fight his brother stems from the Idea that all that JS has should be his. As he was the Eldest had he not developed his mutation he would have inherited Wanuck from his brother, his life in the fringes cruely paralleling the life of his brother. As he is the leader of the fringes people, has a girlfriend but he is however unable to have children as all the women in his community are sterile. 9 Superstition A)
Some people cheer superheroes while the law hunts others as criminals, but both kinds of heroes have the same goals: a better world. So, what makes them different? Superman, Flash, and Captain America are all viewed as great heroes who consistently save lives and there are those such as Batman, Green Arrow, or Daredevil. This latter group is often considered by law enforcement as a threat as bad as the evildoers the heroes battle. Why is this? The answer is rather simple and is found in two concepts: proactive and reactive.

Batman vs Superman For my compare and contrast paragraph I chose Batman vs Superman. Batman and Superman are alike in a lot of ways but there some differences. There are both alike because they are both super heroes, both from DC, and both are good at what they do. Batman in different from Superman is that Batman can’t fly and Superman can fly because his powers. Another thing is that Batman fights in Gotham the most crime ridden city.
Peter is intelligent because he is knowledgable which helps him deceive his parents and get what he wants. Peter displays his intelligence when he mislead his father into thinking that he had no idea, “about Africa and everything”(5), and changed the scenery to, “a green, lovely forest”(5), fooling his father. And when Peter’s father decided to shutdown the nursery he used his insight to once again outsmart his parents by pretending to cry and wale, ”Just a moment, just one moment, just another moment of nursery"(9) and as a result Peter got what he wanted. Due to Peter’s intelligence he was able to outwit his parents and in return achive his goal in obtaining what he wants. Lastly, Peter is known to be ruthless.
Joseph Campbell noticed a recurring pattern that in myths from around the world, the most popular myths were the hero’s myth. The Hero’s myth identifies the different stages of a hero’s journey. The different stages in the journey include, the birth/beginning, the call to adventure, helpers/amulet, crossing the threshold, the tests, helpers, climax/supreme ordeal, flight, return, elixir, and home/end. The movie, Captain America: The First Avenger, Steve Rogers just an ordinary man who wants to join the army to help defeat the Germans in World War 2. Rogers registered for the army but failed, due to his health conditions.
It is Captain America’s duty to not just protect the American people, but to lead and guide them. He is the face of all that America stands for from his star spangled suit to his values and heroism. Captain America symbolizes freedom and protection. I feel like he 's often understood to symbolize America, but he stands for more than that. He had never run from a fight and always insisted on standing up for himself and his beliefs.
Spider-Man faced off against two of the Phoenix Five to make sure the Avengers could get to safety and finish their rescue mission. He barely got out alive. This shows that he put his comrade’s safety above his own. If it wasn’t for Spider-man’s selflessness, the rescue mission would have probably failed and the Avenger’s lives would be in even more
