For years, most Canadians listened to American content that was pointless to them, they were unaware of what was happening in other parts of their own country because all their forms of sources were influenced by a different country. The only people who could hear Canadian content were those who could access private broadcasting, which at the time was the higher class, hence a very few amount of people. On November 2, 1936, after two earlier experiments, the Canadian National Railway (CNR) had developed a radio network, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation/Radio-Canada.
