In my opinion, maleficium was an act of magic that should be prohibited in society because of its intentions to harm other citizens. Regardless of whether or not maleficium existed it is terrifying to think there were people trying to conjure magic to hurt others. Therefore, I think people with the desire to injure others are a menace to society and should face punishment in a court of law in order to dissuade people from practicing maleficium. Furthermore, the lecture on Heresy-Part Two is one of many examples of how the Jews have been persecuted throughout time.
