“The Outcasts of Poker Flat” was a story that showed the true dangers of not being prepared for the winter. To solve this problem, I decided to give the characters in the story a solar-powered robot that would gather wood and food for them in the cold weather. The robot would gather twigs and logs scattered around on the forest floor and bring them back to the group so that they can dry off. Along with that, the robot would also be able to hunt animals like deer and rabbits. Since the robot is solar-powered, it wouldn’t need to have a source of energy to plug into and would help the group out tremendously.
In Richard Connell’s “The Most Dangerous Game,” the setting is a crucial aspect of making the plot believable. For example, the false channel leading to the island is so vital to the plot because it makes the story plausible. General Zaroff intrigues Rainsford by showing him the brilliantly gleaming lights that “‘indicate a channel . . . where there’s none’” (8).

The game involves people going through the jungle, hiding from Zaroff as he hunts them. Both the hunters and the huntees have a different view on the conflict.
Throughout centuries, traditions and rituals have had the ability to control one’s behavior. In Shirley Jackson’s, “The Lottery”, she tells the reader of a small village. On the surface, this community may seem relatively normal. However, despite the picturesque appeal, this falsely serene village has a distinct deceitful flaw. On June 27th, every year, a lottery takes place.
I believe that the title of the story “The Most Dangerous Game“ written by Richard Connell is linked to us as human beings, and that the title is saying that humans are the most dangerous game. For example in The Most Dangerous Game we learn that on the night Rainsford meets general Zaroff we get a lot of information about Zaroff 's ideal game to hunt. "I wanted the ideal animal to hunt," explained the general. "So I said, `What are the attributes of an ideal quarry? ' And the answer was, of course, `It must have courage, cunning, and, above all, it must be able to reason."

The short story has been drawn into discussion for many years for its short, but intricate and complex story. A summary story in its simplest form could be put as a tradition that was followed by a small town called the lottery, but there is so much more contained in between the lines of that statement. The story has a very dark premise regarding the tradition that the town must follow is for the safety of the town itself.
