Conspiracy theories. These are theories that claim certain events are the result of a secret plot planned by an organization. According to research from the University of Chicago, “at least 50 percent of Americans believe in at least one conspiracy theory”. The most popular conspiracy theories seem to revolve around the Illuminati and how they have a secret group of elites trying to rule the world.
