In the movie “Harvest” you learn that life is not so easy for some families. You learn that immigrants come here for an easier life but it ends up not being that easy. These immigrants know that it is going to have to be a group effort just to survive. There kids even stop going to school to help their parents so they do not have to kill themselves every day. The movie is based around three people named Victor, Perla, and Lumez. They are the main people that they talk about throughout the movie. Harvest shows you this and explains what they are feeling while they are all going through this. The first interesting fact that I learned is that families get paid on what they accomplish for that day. They do not get paid hourly so they must work hard to get their money. I think this relates to the definition core values. Core values are the values that are central to a group, those around which a group builds a common identity. I think this definition relates to this fact because it shows how Lumez’s family, Victor’s family, and Perla’s family all had to work very hard to get paid and that is there value and what they believed in to make them money. These farm working families make $17,500 a year with the whole family. That is very sad because they work for so little and they work so hard. The movies even showed how Lumez only made $64.00 a week for her family. The word I think that relates to this is body language. Body language is the ways in which people use their bodies to give messages to others. I think body language relates to this by how they never look forward to going to work and how they look miserable out there but still do it so they can make some money even though it is so
