There are many traits that make one admirable. Kindness, honesty, integrity. But the single trait I find most admirable is courageousness. I find that not only does the person who is performing the act of courageousness benefits from it, but so does everyone around them. Saying that, that plays a very important role in society, and shapes it the way it should be shaped. This is showcased very strongly throughout the novel The Kite Runner by three different characters. Baba, Amir, and Hassan. Each character shows courage in a different way, but they all have one similarity; they all help another person while risking their safety. He shows courage in many ways the first being his relationship with Hassan. Hassan is labeled as a Hazara, Baba still loves him as much as Amir who is a Pashtun. This might not seem courageous to the naked eye, but once you get to know how society works in Kabul, this is something that is really quite laudable. For someone to accept someone so frowned upon is a great example courage. The second way Baba shows courage is when the Russian Soldier wants to “spend time” with the woman. He deliberately put himself in between then soldier and the woman, and didn't back down. He stood up for what he believed was right, and he didn't seem to care what happened to him in the process.
