According to ABC news, tackle football is, unsurprisingly, the most dangerous sport in America. So why would parents let their kids play that dreadful sport at such a young and fragile age? The most popular sport in America was created in Princeton in 1869. Tackle football is originally just men crashing into each other trying to get to the end zone of the opposing side. Therefore, if kids start playing tackle football too young they can develop CTE(Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy), their bodys can't maintain the force of the tackle, and they can gain more concussions. If kids start playing football at a young age they could be suffering from CTE, but there won't be any sign of it developing. CTE stands for Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy which is a type of brain disease. It’s caused by repetitive trauma which is just constantly shaking your brain. According to Chris Nowinski of the Concussion Legacy Foundation and Dr. Robert Cantu and Dr. Lee Goldstein of Boston University, “Studies that showed CTE can start early in life and without any signs of concussion.” This coveys that CTE can form early in life without any sign of it developing. “His hope is that the research can be used to retool drills and rules to protect all the kids…” I disagree with this view; young children should not play football until they are 14 because, as recent research has shown, according to NBC news ¨There is some hope in the continuously improved protective technology with helmets and pads.¨ Although, football may be dangerous in many ways there's still some hope that this technology and equipment will become more advanced and safe, so that their will be less injuries in the game of
