If my mom didn’t run to my grandparent’s room I don’t know what would’ve happened. Later on they decided to move to the US because they didn’t want to stay there anymore because of all that was happening and they wanted to have a better life. The reason my mom gave me on why she moved to the United States because she thought he she were to have kids she wanted them to get a better education then she had and wanted us to have a better life than what she went though. I am grateful that my mom was thinking about us at the time and that’s why I love her and I want to give back to her and my dad when I finish college.
This conversation was one of the most impactful memories because it showed me that I could be completely different from my sister but still share all the same values. Trying new things, and taking an adventure has always been my mantra whenever I approach something unfamiliar and foreign to me. That is exactly what I did when I decided to participate in formal recruitment this year. Taking the adventure and next step to get involved with the Quinnipiac community and find my niche in this expansive community. My parents were skeptical at first of me going out for recruitment, nevertheless, they still encouraged me to broaden my horizons and get involved. I have no idea what the future holds and if I will be able to take Advanced Art next year. But if I am given the possible opportunity to visit a place I have always dreamed about, I will try very hard to make it there now. I can only imagine how many pieces of art are in the Institute. And I can only imagine how wonderful it would be to see all of the amazing pieces in person. I am willing to make my dream a reality and take the trip to Chicago and experience all of the great possibilities in
