I do believe that I was told as a young child that, well, we coexisted with a universe of our kind, but with a little bit of change. I, being a sane person, never believed them. The legends never really appealed to me. If I could touch it or experience it in some way, I believed in it. People around where I lived, however, practically worshiped this legend. I was a bit of an outsider for this reason alone, but I fit in for the most part. The other kids tried pressuring me into believing this, that I was lonely that is, but when you grew up in a household practically built on roasting each other, it’s pretty easy to blow them off. I didn’t know what was off, but there was something. I was hearing something, a high pitched whine. Something that you hear coming out of an older TV set. No, it was not like the movies where they made a big deal about the fact that they were getting away, because then I would of got caught. At this point, that would have been a bad idea. I put my shoulder down and rammed myself through the door. I shattered, and didn’t leave any splinters. Lucky right? Wrong. While I was running, these kids had called practically an entire security staff. They all had these sort of the modified nerf guns and they all shot at me, and this was a problem.
