Digging deep into the dirt, he started to see light. Adrenaline rushed through the body of the man who was soon going to be free. He scraped at the dirt until his fingers were raw. He dug deeper into what he thought was the ground, but when making it to the other side he was breathless in awe and fear. He rose from the ground into a new world with light. The only light he had ever seen were the flames engulfing people as they entered the underworld. Terror would fill their eyes as their mortal body would wither away into charred, leathery skin. It was large, beautiful, and powerful. It had long legs, and a lovely mane covering its neck. He went up, and stroked the animal. He had heard of them, and his was favorite story to hear as a kid in the underworld. He had never been to this world before. It was called a horse, and was used for many different purposes. I lost him a long time ago, but I refuse to stop searching. The land cannot be that big, and if so I will eventually run into him. After the first week hunting down the tracks, I rested. I needed the strength to move on in search of the man. Along the way I found this animal. I had never heard of it before, but it was transportation. I named it the camel. It was surprisingly fast, and had the perfect place to sit on it. It took me everywhere, and it was the only thing I could talk to. The loneliness is growing, and I want to find the man. Once we are together, everything will be right. Months passed as I searched until one day I saw this lake. Riding up to it, I quickly realized it was a water source. Water has been very scarce for me, and it has been hard living off of such small amounts, but here I was. I bathed in the water, and rested. As I prepared to leave, I saw a small house in the distance. It was across the lake, and in the trees. I extolled with joy because I found the man.
