Forest Acres is a community located in Richland County of Columbia, South Carolina. It is a community that was incorporated in the year 1935 near the waters of Dent’s Pond, now known as Forest Lake, due to John Hughes Cooper and James Henry Hammond both having real estate interests in the area. After Cooper purchased Dent’s Pond (Forest Lake) and 1,700 acres of land, Hammond purchased 67 acres from Cooper on Quinine Hill; developing it into a suburban area for local businessmen who worked in the downtown area. In order for Cooper and Hammond to name this location, a petition was signed by residents; voting on whether to name the area Forest Acres or Quinine Hill. As a result, the name Forest Acres won majority votes; making it the official

The Oregon Trail Nebraska was the first state to join the Union after the Civil War. This state is mostly known for its cattle, corn, and unicameral legislature. However, Nebraska is also known for its historic trails, which in the early years were carved out by pioneers, explorers and gold seekers into the western frontier. The history of Nebraska during the 1800s is unique because of the Oregon Trail; Nebraska played an important role in the Oregon Trail. Some people thought it was preposterous to travel the Oregon Trail to move into an unknown country.
The setting mostly took place in the Western Woods where Ichabod Crane, twenty-four year old New York City police officer, went to look for The Headless Horseman. The Western Woods looked spooky with smoke, mist, dark dry trees, and especially the Tree of Death. The way the woods were created gave an effect of horror which made me stay very observant of what was to come. As the film went along, the fire that was lit before the Western Woods was extinguished by the mist. This made me think that the forest was alive.

The world is only able to appear vertical because the rain simply falls from the north and the south resulting in pentagon shaped houses to be built in order to defend from the rain. One of the most common ways to distinguish among inhabitants (as there is no depth) is fog.

In the movie the orcs and wargs tree the group. At this time Gandalf sends a butterfly to get help. When they threw the flaming pinecones at the warg it just makes them mad, and they start pushing the trees over. When the trees started tipping the caused a dominos effect. The dwarves and Bilbo had to jump from tree to tree to keep from falling.
The trees tower over the scenery and almost reach the top of the canvas. They are large, oppressive, dark, and domineering. There is a thin white space of sky above the trees. The point of view is slightly off due to the lighting being distorted. What appears to be a normal outdoor scene is slightly surreal, distorted by the thick paint strokes.
The pond would sometimes start to ripple every once in a while. This would carry on for a couple of weeks. One day, the vibrations started to get stronger and longer, but then later on that day on his way home, the vibrations got stronger and then would not stop. He then saw the seven logs starting to roll and the seven oak trees starting to shake. By the time he got home, the shaking started to decrease.
This could be the reason why the roots of the trees shown are so deformed. The last detail Dante and Virgil hear is how the former bodies of the tree-souls are later hung on their branches and left for them to see the body that they once abandoned. Having text to accompany this illustration helps your mind paint a picture of old, gnarled, oak trees with blood coming out of the branches. The few components to this
