Resources barrier

Resource barrier are to do with health, social care and early years services an individual needs to access a certain type of service may not be available due to staff shortages or a lack of money for the service. Healthcare services may lack resources such as vaccinations against a disease and there is not enough vaccine available for all those that need it. So, people may have to wait until sufficient vaccine has been produced e.g. HIV/AIDS vaccines.
This barrier does not apply to my client. But the GP and NHS make sure that they overcome this barrier by ensuring that they have system to check what resources is needed and make sure that they can get resources to ensure that people who attend the services get the health …show more content…

In this case, this doesn’t apply to my client. In general, the GP and NHS may have information such as leaflets or posters about health and wellbeing or services that they provide in English but some services users may have a different first language preventing them from using the service. This stops certain people from receiving sufficient care that is needed due to language barrier.
To minimise this GP and NHS ensure that there is someone that translate the information for them so they can understand and not be anxious about using the service. Also, that they provide a range of information that translated into different languages so that service users or visitors who have a different first language can use another sources of information to understand the information being given health and wellbeing and services provided. In general, the GP and NHS are successful in minimising this barrier because they have provided handouts which can translate into many languages including French, Spanish, German and more which helps service users and visitors who speak different languages can get
