It all started when the Puritans and the Pilgrims no longer want to follow the rules of the catholic church. They both disagreed with the church and believed it remained to catholic. The pope disaproved of letting the Puritans and the Pilgrims have their own beliefs. They eventually found a way and decided to leave to the “new world” or as we call it today America where they has freedom of religion.
Just like in spain the Christian church lived in peace with others and granted religious freedom, then at the beginning of the 14th century all tolerance dispersed (“Spanish Inquisition” Groiler
Most people would define wealth as the accumulation of some sort of precious possessions or just plain money. However, like most terms, wealth can be observed as a completely different or foreign concept in another cultural/social group. At this time, two cultural groups, the American Indians and the American English settlers, began to interact more frequently for various purposes such as the purchasing of land. Nevertheless, the concept of wealth and property had been so dissimilar between the two societies that misunderstandings were not unfamiliar to them and frequent disagreements occurred. Fueled by differing understandings and perceptions of wealth and property, a clash between the American Indians and the American English colonists… During the early colonization of America, the accumulation of property was often the definition of one’s wealth and power for the English colonists.

The Culture and Conflicts of France France and The United States of America have been allies since the American Revolution when France eagerly joined the Colonists in the fight for Independence against Great Britain. As a result of this close alliance, many people were surprised when France did not support the United States militarily in the War on Terror. France and the French people did not believe it was their place to support the United States and become involved in a war they did not believe would eventually involve them. The French have a long and rich history which includes their religious background, many major conflicts with various Nations, and their ability to survive these conflicts. The ability to survive these conflicts have become ingrained in the culture of France.
I was born and raised up in South Korea for twenty years, and thus I know Korean culture very well. I also understand American culture as well, because I lived and worked with Americans for four years. I decided to choose this topic, because in my experience, I have noticed a lots of differences between Korean culture and American culture; for example how Korean or American treat older people, how Korean or American act in the gym, and about the differences in foods. I picked those subjects because I have experienced the Koreans and Americans side well enough to understand both and I’m currently in South Korea with military men and women. I have Korean friends and American friends spending time together sometimes, and then I can observes differences and similarities.
What is otherness? In the context of readings like Mark Greene’s How America’s Culture of Shame is a Killer for Young Boys and Barbara Mellix’s From the Outside, in, otherness marks the difference in gender, race, and social class. The insiders are those that are in power politically, socially and religiously. Likewise, it implies there are those without representation, without power. Whether you are part or outside the groups, they create a sense of unity and community.
The most widely practiced religion was the Church of England (also referred to as the New Religion or the Established Church) which was the established state religion decided by the queen. The New Religion was a sort of settlement between the two religions of Catholicism and Protestantism. Queen Elizabeth I was the leader of the Church of England. When Queen Elizabeth was excommunicated from the Catholic Church, she decided that anyone who didn't agree with her beliefs could be considered a traitor and would be executed.
GLOBALIZATION VS ASIAN VALUES Asian family values I can directly relate to the concept of “Asian Values” because, I grew up in an Asian household where I was raised to believe that blood is thicker than water (i.e. it is important to take care of your family), I should respect my elders (i.e. respect authority and the wisdom of older people), to be educated was an honorable achievement, successful people are highly regarded in society (i.e. it is important to be a productive and contribute to the community), and that economic stability is a number one priority (e.g. obtain a good paying job, spend money wisely, and amass wealth). All of these values work in cohesion with one another and provide a good foundation for a happy and virtuous life.
At this point in history, almost everybody was involved and ruled by the catholic church. People like Thomas Hobbes
I am regularly amazed by the power and profound impact a film can have one’s life. As we watch movies at different intervals of our lives, the movies can also be special markers of what defines our own human experience. When I first saw this film some seventeen years ago during its initial release, I was in my mid-twenties. I was in awe of the experience.
Conclusion As just mentioned, the political climate can have great influence on hate crime and the culture in which it embodies. But this is not the only facet of American culture that has an influence on such. The rapid pace of technology, for example, allows for news to spread with immediacy never seen. This has been proven to be either positive, or detrimental, to diminishing the hate culture in America.
Political Cultures Unsurprisingly, government is complicated- Three options are available for choice of political culture: Individualistic, Moralistic, and Traditionalistic. Individualistic political cultures view democracy as a marketplace, in which the government may apply its power to the demands of the people, without giving thought to the good of society or what is best for the people.
Coming to the cultural differences between Americans and Indians, the Indians are very much family oriented and much respect is paid to family values. Lastly, Indians value elders’ views in the decision-making process while the American culture teaches people to make their own decisions.
