North America is an exciting region with an enormous amount sites to see and experiences to have. This entire continent offers a wide range of ventures, including hiking, lying on beaches, or camping. There are also many cultural experiences to have, such as going to museums, experiencing some incredible food, or encountering people from some of the many different cultures in North America. People from countries outside of this region may not know about the amount of diversity between different areas of the United States and Canada. To be able to market the continent in a more simplified, convenient manner, the United States and Canada has been divided into seven large regions. Core are connected through several concepts including economics, culture, transportation, and climate. This region as a whole is the backbone of America, it provides many goods that are used throughout the United States. There is a great deal of overlap between these three regions due to their locations and goods they produce. The Manufacturing Core and the Agricultural Core are especially overlapped because of the need for shipping centers to move agricultural products in early industrial times. A large amount of the food consumed in the United States is produced in the Agricultural Core. The Agricultural Core is accompanied by the Manufacturing Core and the Great Plains and Prairies when it comes to producing a large amount of food. Some of the crops grown in the U.S. Core are corn, milk products, fruit, hops, and wheat (Birdsall, Palka, Malinowski & Price, 2009). The Manufacturing Core also aids in food production by producing tools and machinery for the Agricultural Core and Great Plains to use. There is also money to be made by moving into the U.S. Core because of the many unskilled jobs that are made available by the large amount of agriculture and industry in the region. The U.S. core is also a great place to settle down and raise a family. Homes and apartments are comparatively cheaper in the U.S. core than they are in other parts of the country. Core share. The U.S. Core has an excellent landscape for several different modes of transportation. Most of the Core’s landscape is flat with very little obstructions. Some of the only obstacles that modes of transportation could face are rivers and lakes. The Great Lakes and other rivers in the U.S. Core aid in the transport of goods by acting as routes for large shipping vessels. Railways are also prevalent throughout the region.
