So now that you know a little more about the film, I can tell you more about this influential style. The Matrix cast was draped in long black trench coats and small sunglasses with all black frames so you couldn’t see the eyes that person. Morpheus, the leader of them wore sunglasses that didn’t hold by his ear but clipped to his nose. They wore boots and skinny jeans and gave you a very gothic feel. Which is the neatest part of the story. The gothic style was not in in those days and it was very odd that they were casted in those outfits but once the movie came out it was unbelievable the impact that was made by the clothes. Everyone started wearing the clip on glasses and the long trench coats. They were going for the street tough look, when in reality they were just nerds, but you don’t see nerds as tough or mean.
