Curfew In S. E. Hinton's The Outsiders

In our world kids and teens are out every night. Whether they are just hanging out, or getting into trouble they can be out until early mornings sometimes. Everyone has a different opinion on curfews some people think they are beneficial and imposed, and some people think not. In this prompt I will tell you why it is better for no curfews for the characters in The Outsiders. Sometimes it might be safer for the Greasers to stay in past a certain time, and maybe not. If the greasers stay inside at late night times maybe they won’t get jumped as much by the socs. In the novel The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton, it seems to be that the greasers get jumped mostly in the late night hours. This is because not as many people are around to tell the cops or have the Socs get in to trouble as much for jumping the Greasers. In comparison to this idea, yes maybe the Greasers do get jumped more at night but they could get jumped at any time. Greasers could get jumped at any place, any time of the day or night. For example in the book when Ponyboy is on his way home from the movies in the day time, he gets jumped by the Socs while walking on a dirt road. Well yes because they wouldn’t want to get in trouble by the police, and kids don’t stay out to late usually anyway. Also if it is the law, then teens and kids should follow the rules or else they will get in trouble by the cops. Kids are good anyways so they won’t even probably try and sneak out. However I don’t know about kids, but teens don’t care about the rules. They are rebelious and as long as they don’t get caught by the police, they won’t get in trouble. No matter what teens and maybe kids will find a way to sneak out, so whether there is a curfew or not it won’t
