I’ve got some feedback on Barron’s draft: 36-521.02.B – This subsection says we can hold the patient while the screening agency (SA) reviews the application, which is good. However, we want to hold the patient while we make the application to the SA, too. We’d be fine with a timeframe for the hospital to make the application. 36-521.02.D – We have two comments here. 1) As drafted, the subsection says that if a Certificate of Hold is issued by the SA then a hospital can hold a patient for 9 hours, once medically cleared, while waiting for transport to the SA.

October 2nd, 2002 was the start of a long and horrific three weeks in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area. People were terrified to be in the area and everyone was on edge. What appeared to be random killings, turned out to be a well-organized series of senseless shootings that took the lives of ten innocent people. After days of people being scared to death and much confusion, investigators discovered that there were two suspects in the shootings; John Allen Muhammad and his teenage partner Lee Boyd Malvo and they were in a blue 1990 Chevrolet Caprice sedan designed to terrorize people. This break in the case came when one of the suspects called the tip hotline and told them to look into a murder in Alabama, which lead to the case being

One of the headlines in the news lately is about the Lyon sisters. This is a 40-year-old cold case. Miss Leonardo cannot feasibly press charges against Vincent for battery, as it lacks substantial certainty that Vincent intended to harm Miss Leonardo by throwing his pencil on the desk. The rule for battery indicates there must be an intent to act against another person, an intent to harm another person, and the harm resulting from the intent to harm. Miss Leonardo’s injury of severe eye pain and a broken blood vessel is not in dispute, as it is the result of Vincent throwing the pencil on the desk, it bouncing off the desk, and hitting Miss Leonardo in the eye. Vincent’s intent to act was to throw the pencil on the desk, as Vincent’s anger towards his teacher clearly shows he desired to let out some of his anger, but only in the act of throwing the pencil.

In the year of 1989, a mother came to the supreme court for assistance. Her son, 4-year-old Joshua DeShaney, was returned to his father by the Department of Social Services, even though the father committed domestic violence. One day, Joshua was hospitalized for severe brain damage and bruises all over his body caused by his father. The mother immediately sued the Department of Social Services for returning Joshua to his father. The Supreme Court should have protected my client by the constitution's XIV Amendment, which forbids "any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law".
