DACA a program passed under the Obama administration in which protected immigrants from deportation has changed the lives of so many people also known as Dreamers. This program has given many immigrants the opportunity to a better future. Since Trumps announcement on the end of the DACA program, it has created a lot of controversy on why we shouldn't end the program. Experts believe that ending DACA would greatly affect our economy. Most of the programs recipients have pursued a better job or furthered their education which has created a better chance of hiring higher skilled workers. DACA requires students to meet high standards to even qualify for DACA. DACA shouldn't end, instead we should come up with a permanent solution to fix this problem.
DACA has given the opportunity to thousands of immigrants to obtain a better job, a better education, and a better future. Most of these immigrants have gotten their first job because of this program. If these dreamers were to get deported it would cost the U.S $215 billion in output over 10 years. This has caused a lot of anti-immigrants to think ending DACA might be the solution to all their problems. Many believe they're just giving them to everyone, and is too easy to obtain. People don't realize that to even qualify for DACA you have to meet certain standards. DACA requires applicants to currently be enrolled in school, have graduated, obtained a GED, or honorably discharged from the military. Dreamers must also meet certain date lines from when they entered the united states and cannot have been convicted of any felonies or major misdemeanors.
