For the final exam, the class was instructed to present a story and tell how it relates to one of Dale Carnegie’s principles. I chose to use principal 8 from part 3, Try honestly to see things from the other persons point of view. The story I decided to tell was about my mother’s drug addiction and how I never gave her the chance to explain her side of the story. These are two thing I think I did well. I feel as though I chose a great principle and story, they both intertwine with one another. The last thing I thought did well was getting the audience attention. When I did make contact with the audience I could notice the sympathy and interest in some of their eyes. I saw one classmate tearing up. However, in every good story you tell, there
