“All you need for happiness is a good gun, a good horse, and a good wife.” Daniel Boone was a hard-working Frontiersman. Who extraordinarily blazed a trail to Kentucky, founded the prosperous settlement and fought off hostile Indians. Daniel Boone lived a fascinating early life. He built Boonesbrough and lived to a good old age of 86.

Daniel Boone‘s early life is very amusing. Daniel who was an adventurous kid was born on November 2, 1734, he was the sixth child and his parents were Sarah Boone and Squire Boone. In 1775 Colonel William Russell hired Daniel Boone to build a road through the Appalachian Mountains to Kentucky. Daniel started the work with 30 diligent and hard-working men. Finally, they finish the arduous task.the long windy road do not fit the large wagons so they had to walk and their luggage had to be carried on horseback. When they arrived, they built houses and a large fort. In the settlement, the people were extremely low on ordinary supplies they needed a lot of salt so they went to Blue Licks. They boiled the water, then extracted the salt for many days soon they had enough salt for the settlement. Later, the Shawnee Indians siege the fort. They did not like the white men on their hunting grounds. First, they tried to starve them out of the state, then they tried to burn the fort down, but the wood was too wet to burn. Shortly after, Some British soldiers came down from Canada and the combined armies with the Shawnee Indians. the next day they open fire. Daniel Boone and his men courageously fought back.
