It is with pleasure that I provide a letter of recommendation for Devincee Anderson. I have the opportunity of being a co-worker with him while he is currently employing at Division of Youth Services as a Youth Services Specialist-II. Devincee is extremely dedicated to the committed youths, detailed oriented, self-motivated, and deeply compassionate. Devincee is a natural leader and always meeting his deadlines. Devincee is an intelligent and motivated individual.
Jim Valvano is a legend in the sports community for his coaching ability as well as his unmatched perseverance. Valvano fought many battles on the basketball court, but none were as challenging as his battle with cancer. His perseverance earned him the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the first ever ESPY’s where he delivered one of the greatest and most inspirational speeches of all time. There are examples of all three of the rhetorical devices in this speech, but it is clear that pathos stands out the most amongst all of them. This was a very emotional speech that ultimately resulted in the unveiling of his brand new cancer research foundation, The Jimmy V Foundation.
Trevor Jones Trevor will be charged with manslaughter of the accidental killing of his friend with an illegal gun . I might always have health issues, and I may not ever be able to relax. However, that struggle and that desire to overcome has inspired me not only to get back to the person I was before the surgeries, but to better myself because of it. I see the little girl with the plaid comforter, she was so tough, hoisting a smile onto her face when the rest of her body was in so much pain.
It’s beyond a battle to make the best of my life with chronic illness. “Life is just not fair.” I am not always able to make plans because I don’t know if I will be able to follow through. I don’t know what the future holds because I have to take life as it comes. I can only be hopeful, and I am.
Imagine a close family member finding out they have cancer. Most people would be devastated, but my mom concurred through it and continued to brighten everyone’s day, D. Cancer is affecting children across the globe many wanting to do more with their lives and believe that they.
