Excellent at mathematics and blessed with phenomenal networking skills, in his early 20s Darius Jackson was a very successful man. CEO of the biggest financial cooperation in New York, he was living the dream. He was still young so there wasn’t a wife or kids in the picture, but he was very much so a ladies man. Luxury cars, five star restaurants and high end clothing brands, Darius was the true definition of a baller. Sadly though, that lifestyle came to an ending. So now he had to think and think hard. He had to evaluate his necessities and determine on how he’d be able to make $130 last for as long as he could. Obviously that’s not enough for a home or an apartment. He thought of just booking motels every night but then second guessed, realizing that even a $20 motel will add up every night and will leave him with $0. Despite his pride, he looked into shelters and decided to stay at the safest one he could find. The shelter he decided on would now be his new home. Now that he’s found a new place to stay he now had to evaluate the necessities he needed. He bought a toothbrush/toothpaste, deodorant, bottled water, soap, lotion, to-go food/snacks, socks, white tees and sweats, a pair of basic shoes, jacket, lotion, first aid kit, and a journal to write in to keep him occupied. All of this totaled to about $95. Which left him with $35 to his name. Months had passed, eventually some of those items ran out. Which caused him to have to use those $35.
