WEIGHT LOSS; THE MIND OR THE BODY?
“It hurts, but that’s all it does. The most difficult part of the training is training your mind. You build calluses on your feet to endure the road. You build calluses on your mind to endure the pain. There’s only one way to do that. You have to get out there and run.”- David Goggins
He is, perhaps unarguably, the toughest man on the planet. His name is David Goggins. In two months, he lost 100 lbs to join the US Navy. Thereafter goes on to finish in the top spots of the world’s toughest foot race, Badwater. For him, it was all about Mental Toughness. Is it impossible? Or maybe he is just talented? Well, no. David was not an exceptional kid growing up, graduating with 1.9 GPA from high school. He only later recognized he wanted to better himself and he was not planning to quit on that. This leaves us with a staggering fact, “IT BEGINS WITH THE MIND”. Lets consider some lessons from David on weight loss.
MENETAL ATTITUDE
Everything begins with the mind. What you think is what you inevitably become. You go to the the Gym, and your trainer is nit just trying to tell you how to use the equipment,he is more concerned about getting you with the right mental attitude towards each exercise. Mind motivation becomes the key ingredient in getting the body in shape. Beyond the diets, and exercise is the mind, which is the key ingredient.
Tell yourself you can and if you don’t, no one else would for you. You have got to discipline you attittude to get out of bed eraly and go out for that walk, or bike that trip or stetch that mile. It begins with the mind and the truth is, you too can do it if only you think so.
