“A date which will live in infamy” is what president Theodore Roosevelt had to say on December 7, 1941. It was a surprise attack launched on the American Naval base in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. This havoc was created by Japan. It was very shocking because it was the only attack ever on American soil that was not an act of terror. The attack took place because of japan and Americans long time conflict and hatred. What were some of the causes of this calamity? Read on to learn more. The attack on Pearl Harbor was devastating attack which lead the USA into the current war, WW2, after a Japanese fleet destroyed many aircrafts and naval ships. We will not forget this day but there are reasons behind this tragic event.

James Humphris How can two countries that have a similar military strength happen to fight? With major events like the Nanking invasion sparking the Second Sino-Japanese war which was only 80 years ago as of this day! This is the answers to this terrible war. The Second Sino War was a treacherous war with horrible events and like most wars it came with a huge death toll (Thesis). This war was a fight between The Japanese and the Chinese. 2 main events we will look at is the Marco Polo Bridge disaster and the surprisingly recent invasion of Nanking which was only 80 years ago. This will show the story of this massive and deadly war, The Second Sino-Japanese War. The Second Sino War (Japanese And Chinese War) began with an everlasting tension between China and japan for an extensive time. One major event that happened was the attack on Nanking,China. The attack was led by the japanese. it is unclear how many fatalities came from this event since both sides have been very secretive about the fatalities. But this is not the only reason why the Japanese and chinese have had tensions but i will not cover that today. but there is 1 other main event which is the marco polo bridge disaster. The Marco Polo Bridge is an eleven-arch granite bridge, it is a very important it was first built under the Jin emporer and later got rebuilt by the Kangxi Emperor in 1698. This explains why the Japanese had attacked them in the first place. It just wouldn’t make sense to just to for the sake of war, it could cost both countries millions of dollars. Understanding those 3 main clues of why Japan started a war with the U.S, along with Germany. The oil that Japan needed to survive WW2, how it was an easy target, the dept they had from their war with China, and how it worried people in the U.S. The U.S didn’t want this to begin with, that is why they didn’t go to war with Germany in the first place. This Bombing had cost hundreds of lives and impacted the U.S in a horrid kind of way that we never wanted to have.
