Rosa Parks is a hero everyone should know. Rosa Parks changed history. She was just an ordinary women after work tired and tired of giving in. She was a strong independent women that stood up for African Americans. Rosa Parks is known for changing other people's lives. She is the greatest hero. “Parks to become known as "the mother of the civil rights movement."(The Death of an Icon). Before Rosa Parks became “the mother of civil rights” she did something big in life. Rosa Parks was coming back from work she was very tired. She tried to sit in front of the bus but was kicked off. When Rosa didn't go in the back of the bus, the driver called the police. The police talked to her about why she didn't go in the back. The conversation they had was very firm and understandable that if she didn't follow the law she would go to jail. “Mrs. Parks looked up and said, "Why do you all push us around?” "I don't know," he said, "but the law is the law, and you're under arrest." (Rymarz). When she was under arrest she called her husband to bail her out. Once she was under arrest many people didn't go on buses. Many people refused to go on the bus after what happened with Rosa Parks sitting in the front. “They decided that African Americans should stop riding these buses. This is how the Montgomery Bus Boycott began. A boycott is when people protest by refusing to use a service or product. The boycott worked. Bus companies lost a lot of money, and the news about Montgomery's Jim Crow customs spread all over the U.S. and the world.”(Remembering Rosa Parks).
