In 10 minutes, you will want to give your life to your country. All I need to convince you is your attention, so please listen carefully. In 1776, the world changed. We decided that we had enough of tyranny, it was time for change. After what are called to day the “intolerable acts”, it was time for a change. Through many hours and drafts, a declaration was born. Our leaders, powerful, wealthy, and successful men, had decided, we were going to war. On July 4th, it was time that the document was signed, and the country was committed to a revolution for independence. The creation, the wealth, the well being of millions would not be here without those few men, who on that critical day, gave their lives to freedom. That turning point not only changed the lives of millions, but it turned a light onto liberty. Countries since have followed. Taking power from tyranny and giving it to the people. As we look through history, human civilization has gone from tyranny, to democracy. From oppression to freedom. It’s a sign of progress toward a more prosperous world. We are innovating, freedom is the future, the world will become a better place when we give people their rights. Today, all of you have something to contribute to that.
