The way we care for, handle and appreciate others is the way I define the meaning of love. Through that definition of Love we find that this word is an action word. That being said the requirement to show love is only through our actions. However, the way love is shown between people is determined by the type of relationship. Love shown between family versus love shown in marriage or courting a significant other has it’s similarities and differences. The similarities found in these relationships can be publicly determined. In both instances, we respect each other, we give to one another and we share life together. Within this union, I personally believe two have become one. In this relationship there are no third wheel parties. Their love is performed through their commitment to one another. This entitles the persons in this relationship to maintain trust and to be yoked to each other emotionally. With that being said, it is common that love is shown or given through sexual relation within the confines of the relationship and no one else. Away from family and dating, friendships are another kind of relationship that occurs in life. A friendship requires an alliance with one or more persons and their bond promises fellowship and companionship. Friendship, I believe, can be possible from any distance.
