We live in a society where happiness is measured in kilograms. Where a person is only as good as their skin. A society full of people just trying to be one in a million. All missing out on the true beauty that is being one of a kind.
In today’s world beauty has a very narrow definition that only fits about 2% of the population yet most of us spend our lives trying to fit into this mould. Often going to extremes such as starving oneself or purging. It is one of the toughest issues that many of us have to face on a daily basis. It is not right. It is time we change the definition of beauty.
We as individuals are beautiful, no matter what size we are or what our hair and skin looks like. Each individual is just that an individual, with a beauty that only they have. It is also the way we act, the way we speak and what we believe in that we often try to change to fit into society’s mould. However standing up for your ideas and your beliefs and challenging those of others is what makes the world a stronger and better place. How can we know something is right if we do not challenge it?
