I have always had one question repeatedly appear in my mind. This question is, “What is love?” As a child, my parents taught me to love them, my family and friends, and Jesus. My parents said that these three things are what I am always going to need in life and that I cannot go without them. However, as I got older, I realized that we say “I love you” or “I love this thing” about several things that mean multiple things to various people. One thing could mean the world to one person and be worthless to someone else. People use the word love to describe books, music, people, food, technology, or even a place, so how can we know the true meaning of love when it is used to describe so many different things? Marriage is regarded as a union of love, for example. Perhaps you describe a movie you love or enjoy when you watch it for the first time. It is common for us to use the term love without even realizing it. Love is a very complex subject, yet we treat it with such simplicity. Even though love is not always forever, why is it often described as such? Love affects people in numerous ways. It may mean faithfulness and honesty, but it may also mean optimism and respect for another person. It can be challenging to think about love being so diverse. This is because, in today's world, the word 'love' can be used for infinite reasons. For some, a question about love will bring smiles and happiness, but it will also cause pain and sadness for others. Love is so diverse because we all love in different ways.
