What it means to be a woman
It means nothing. It literally means nothing. I don’t mean that in an offensive way, or even an inspiring way (could that even be taken as inspiring?). Biologically and physically, there is much empirical evidence to support the idea of difference between genders, but aside from that there are none.
Many other contrasts can be found in things as unintentional as clothing, and as intentional as the colour wrapping paper you use for a birthday gift. Never once did the world need to separate the sexes to the extent they have been, so why did it happen?

Though is it possible that that assumption was based on a prejudice about female capability? Women are generally seen as the “weaker” sex, and that can be granted to smaller physical size as well as everything the media will shove down your throat in home hardware commercials.
Would it be crazy to think that maybe the reason girls can wear pants, but boys can’t wear dresses is because women would rather acquire some “manly” attributes, (power, respect, integrity, etc.,) whereas men would never want to embody any “womanly” traits, (sensitivity, tranquility, submissiveness, etc.) The reason I ask is because I don’t think that would be crazy at all. In fact I think that may be one of the concepts from which that double standard derived.
I will be the first to admit that I often conform to social norms when it comes to gender specific situations. Shopping for my girlfriend’s birthday’s usually means something pink is in the mix, as well as a flowery card, and maybe even actual flowers. When it comes to my boyfriend, or even males in general, I tend to play it safe with clothes, (pants of course), and the idea always crosses my mind to simply buy them a ball (I’m not sure why, but the idea that all boys enjoy and partake in sports has been implemented in my mind from a very young age, you can blame the
