Being a Fan
Staring on pictures, late sleep at night, daydreaming. These are just some of the things a fan girl does but what really makes a person a "fan"? If we look inside a dictionary, According to Merriam Webster’s Dictionary, A fan is a person who is enthusiastically devoted to something or somebody, such as a band, a sports team, a genre, a book or an entertainer but if you ask me what makes a person a fan is. When you first saw that one and only guy that makes your heart beat fast without even a word it’s make me nuts. Yes. I scream whenever i see my bias but in my genre (KPOP) some people who are not into what i like they say it’s a bad habit. Is it? Let’s see.

I am aware that most people will not understand why I love what I love the way I love it. They don’t get why I would “waste my time” just to wait their comeback or why I would cry while watching their videos. They laugh when they see the posters of my favorite boy/girl bands that I have on my walls. They consider themselves normal, because they aren’t “obsessed” like I am. I’ve heard this countless times before, especially from members of my family, or from some of my friends. They believe they are normal. They don’t know that they are just as crazy as I am. Being a fan girl can be an addiction. It is really complicated to be a KPOP fan, for real! The main thing you have to do is to be considered a fan in the KPOP world is to recognize all the member of the group of the band that you like and to have a favorite member or bias. You know everything about you idol/s the name of your fandom, their favorite food, or the brand of gel they use in their hair. YOU KNOW IT ALL. You're ready to enter into a heated 30 minute debate anytime a hater talks about them. Whenever you hear their song playing or see an ad for the book/movie, a giant smile appears on your face and you start dancing as if there are no people around you. (Who cares if you're in public?) Their song is your stress reliever. Being a fan girl was never easy. Apart from the constant heartache that results from knowing you'll never be with them. From school mates poking fun at us
